Is this poet in me gone

it got left in the shadows forgotten for long

I used to have something to say

but I'm left with an emptiness, the pain of the day

How did this fire burn out?

I guess I opened the door and let in the doubt

I'm gonna let it go, let it go

I can't take anymore so I fall to the floor

And lay it down, lay it down

All these things that I carried that push me around

It can come like a thief in the night

but I made my decision and I'm making it right

Oh, I wanna see the light

The gloves have finally come off

They got stuck in the battle between my head and my heart

I used to be so bright eyed

but now I'm jaded and broken and torn on the inside

How did this fire burn out
